Experience the area around Tullebølle on North Langeland

Tullebølle is Langeland's second largest town and is located 3 kilometres from the sea, in the middle of the north island. The name is first mentioned in 1341 as Tolebølle - a combination of the male name Tōli or the female name Tōla and ‘bø¯ li’, which means ‘outlying farm’. So ‘Tōli's or Tōla's outlying farm’. Langeland has a total of 15 ‘bøller’ distributed around the island.

Tullebølle previously belonged to Tranekær Municipality, which had decided that all urban development in the municipality should take place in Tullebølle. Therefore, Tullebølle got detached houses and industrial areas. Tullebølle also preserves 2 of Langeland's 15 windmills.
