Visit Ristinge

Ristinge, the “tail” of Langeland is a good reason for turning of in Humble and head west. Ristinge has three attractions: the best bathing beach on the entire island, Ristinge Cliff and the village Ristinge with the tiny harbour.

The cliff is a nature experience. In some places, it is 30 m high and stretches over 2 km and must be visited on foot. You walk on a small path high above the sea, looking over the beach and the entire Baltic Sea. Depending on season and weather you can see eider, Brent geese and porpoises in the sea far beneath the path. The path ends at Ristinge Hale, and here is a view over Marstal and the small islets, which almost tie Langeland and Ærø together.

Ristinge town is characterized by a few larger farms, a lot of small houses and a small number of shops. Several fishermen work at and sail from the small harbour, and in the morning, you can buy freshly caught fish here. Each year on the last Sunday in august the event “Day of the Archipelago” takes place an event for the whole family. The new shelters are also found at the harbour.
