Bike & Hike Friends - Helping hands on your cycling or hiking holiday
When that unfortunate puncture occurs or the water bottle is empty again, local Bike & Hike Friends are ready to help you on your cycling or hiking holiday with the necessary gear and resources.
Over 200 volunteer Bike and Hike Friends on Funen, Langeland, and Ærø, including local islanders, shops, attractions, businesses, and accommodations, are dedicated to ensuring you have a great experience. They share a common ambition to promote outdoor activities in the area. During their regular opening hours, they are ready to assist with the essentials for your cycling or hiking holiday.
A Bike Friend offers at a minimum:
Pumping your bike
Filling your water bottle
Providing access to a toilet or information about the nearest toilet
A Hike Friend offers at a minimum:
Filling your water bottle
Providing access to a toilet or information about the nearest toilet
Some Bike and Hike Friends also offer:
Loan of puncture repair kits
Sale of new bike tubes
Access to a bike station with tools and bike stands
Charging facilities for electric bikes
Sale of snacks and refreshments
Access to benches for resting and picnicking
